Update.

I'm managing to be extremely active on 5 websites, including Chobots, TFM, and blogging of course, while sick and studying for exams. I don't mean to vent, but just wanted to tell that to my two followers and any blogwalkers that happen to come across this blog.

Anyways, a bunch of things has happened in chobots. I'm too busy to make my own post, so if you haven't read about it in the '.net' blog, then here are the links below.

There was a 3 day garbage collector competition, I managed 10th place. [ link ].
Results, bigbang got first, Chloe got 2nd, and Sals1 got third. Prize was bugs with citizenship. [ link ].
Nath88 actually got 2nd, but since he became moderator, he couldn't get his prize. I guess moderator-ship is better than getting a couple bugs, right? [ link ].
He filled Rachel's spot. She's no longer moderator.
There was a huge party. It wasn't that long, but they rained a lot. It was on all servers, but the moderators were only on one server. I got in the party first try, but then I lagged when all the dizzle and dazzle effects came out. I got some rain, here are party pics and what was rained. [ link

Little98miss is a new agent and Kaicooper is back on chobots.
A lot to say, so much to study.

Bye!

Party Time

Post Source: [ link ].

Yes, you heard me right [ or read this post correctly ]. There is going to be a party!
This will be my first chobot party since .com. I just made my account about a week ago so I guess I'm a newbie to .net. Can't wait to see how you '.net' 'ers party! I know it will be fantastic.

Here is the countdown, I think it's much easier to use than a time converter.
Here you go:

I don't know how to make it centerized, but oh well.
See you there!

Chobots Valentines Contest

*late post*.
Post Source: [ link ].

How do you all do?
Lately I've only been online to earn some bugs and I haven't even been online much. So much work outside of the cho-world. D: but anyways, there is a chobots design contest!

Calling all designers! :]

It's for Valentines Day. Make a Valentines Day Costume using this template:

I FINALLY found time to do my own entry, and think it came out decent. I promise you I can do 1000x better digital graphics than this, but it took me a quite some time considering I kept changing my design. Well, here it is.

Please do not copy it. [: I usually put a label on my work, but I trust you chobots to not copy it.

Those aren't bokeh brushes or anything, I just changed the preset GIMP [ still getting used to PhotoShop ] brush settings.  Well anyways, there it is not on the chobot...

GIMP keeps crashing whenever I try to 'Open Image As Layer' and it's really making me mad, so that's all you're going to get for right now.

Byee!

HELP: How do I block my playercard so I can't receive friend requests?

I am starting a 'HELP' column.
Just for help in anything related to chobots!

Today I received a message from one of my dear friends, and it said...

Question: How do you block your payercard so no one can add you?
Answer: Simple! Follow the instructions below.

1. Click the cog-wheels [MENU] in the bottom left corner of your chobots screen.

2. See the options on the menu?

 One should read:

And it will most likely be checked.

3. Simply uncheck it:

There you are! Now you won't receive friend requests, but you will still receive messages from your friends.

You can always go back and change it. :]

Hope that helps!

New Chobot Item Item Ratings 1.7.12

1.7.12

The stars are owned by ME, using the PhotoShop brushes found here. Please do not copy the images below.
New Chobot items were added to the shop today!
I decided to open a new segment up. [: I may change the segment over time, but for now here is how it will go...

-

First item today...

Item Name 'Torch'.
Accessories Catalog

Cost:

 2600 bugs.
For citizens & non-citizens.

Rating:

I don't think one small torch is work 2600 bugs, different concept though.

Predict Popularity:

Probably good for role playing?
-

Second Item:

Item Name 'Gold Necklace'.
Accessories Catalog

Cost:

 1300 bugs.
For citizens only.

Rating:

I can't buy it. Also a little bit too much money. I guess I'm bug stingy because I'm not a citizen an earn only as much as half as citizens do. But no offense, but I'm a little disappointed in the graphics. Looks like something you would find in a pyramid. :]

Predict Popularity:

I think you can put more use to a necklace than a torch.
-

Third Item:

Item Name 'Stuffed Toy'.
Accessories Catalog
Cost:

1400 bugs.
Citizens only.

Rating:

It's cute!  I wish I could buy it, I mean it's a pretty reasonable price. It's kinda creepy but cute at the same time. :] I wish I could buy it, but it's citizens only. :[

Predict Popularity:

It's cute, but I don't think it will be as popular as the masks or hair.

-

Fourth Item:

Item Name 'King's Crown'.
Accessories Catalog

Cost:

10000 bugs.
Citizens Only

Rating:
This doesn't look like a chobot item. I think it would look better if the crown were a more goldy color and the shading was done differently.

Predict Popularity:

I think most will agree with my statement above.

-
Fifth Item:

Item Name 'Pencil Backpack'.
Accessories Catalog

Cost:

1000 bugs.
Citizens only.

Rating:

Hmm.... It's a pencil. I wish it looked a little more realistic, because I didn't think it was a pencil at first. It's cute with the face though. :]

Predict Popularity:

It's a backpack, everyone loves backpacks. I see them all over the place, so I bet this will be a hit.

Do you agree or disagree?

Keep Your Chobot Account Safe!

Post Source: [ link ].

Most of you know this already, but you need to keep your accounts safe! Hackers and scammers are pretty smart and can be really tricky. Lately, these scammers have been impersonating the Chobots Staff. If you are ever asked for any information including 'address, password, email, credit card, or any personal information' directly on chobots, hit these buttons:

...the report and ignore buttons. Another way that hackers or scammers can attack you is by sending you a seemingly realistic message claiming that they are Chobots Staff. All email messages sent by Chobots staff have the email domain of '@chobots.net'. Any other email is fake. Keep this in mind next time you receive a message. Just report the email/message as spam.

Moderators will never ask you for personal information, and if they do, chances are they are not a moderator. Official moderators have special moderator badges. Here is the list of official moderators. [ link ], if anybody else claims they are staff, hit the report and ignore!

Do not put your username in password anywhere except for the chobots.net login page! [chobots.net]

Email Safety Tips: It will protect your chobot account too!

Keep your email that you activated your chobots with safe as well. That is another common way people are hacked. Most email providers such as GMail, Yahoo, and Comcast have a security question in case you forgot your password. Make sure your security question answer is easy for you to remember, but nobody else will guess it

Also, make sure your email password is NOT the same as your chobots password, because if your chobots account gets hacked, your email might also be hacked, or vica versa.

Simple Tips:

 Source: [ link ].

1. Never give out your password. If someone seems suspicious, ignore and report! 'You don't have to be paranoid, just use your judgement!'

2. '...Be very suspicious if someone starts asking you random personal questions like "What's your mother's maiden name?" or "What was the name of your first pet?" because they are trying to get your Security Question out of you so that they can gain access to your email account through the "Forgot Your Password?" feature.'

3. ' Be careful what you click on! Don't go to unfamiliar links sent to you by random people, they could be leading you to a keylogger virus that gives them access to everything you have typed over a period of time, including your passwords.

4. Use an onscreen keyboard to type in your email password.
If you are running on Windows, go to:
'Start -> Go to All Programs -> Click on Accessories -> Select Accessibility or Ease of Access ->Click on On-Screen Keyboard'
If you are running on a Mac visit HERE.

5. Lastly, if it comes down to this and the hacker succeeded, contact Chobots Support.

It's a shame for you to spend so much time and effort on chobots just for your account to be hacked. Keep a watch out and follow the tips above!
I wish the best for you all!
Note: please don't be alarmed by this. I've never been hacked but that's because I never gave my password out to anybody. Don't fall for scams!

I suggest you download the WOT toolbar which alerts you if a website is bad. It's helped me! It's free too. :]
